| Marie in 1940 * In 1940 Marie lived at 6024 Carlos Avenue in Hollywood. She rented a room here when she worked at The Florentine Gardens nightclub. The home belonged to Mark Hansen, owner of The Florentine Gardens. He often rented rooms to dancers working at his club. Yvonne DeCarlo, Gwen Verdon, and Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia) also rented rooms here. |

| Marie at her Brentwood home in 1944 * In 1944 Marie lived at 11122 Montana Avenue in Brentwood. It had a sewing room where Marie made her own clothes. She lived here with her second husband Vic Orsatti and her dog Shortie. This is one of several homes Marie and Vic rented during their marriage. Many other stars have lived on Montana Avenue including Robert Redford and Shelley Fabares. |

| Marie with her dog Puggins at her Encino farm in 1946 * In 1946 Marie bought a run-down farmhouse in Encino (address unknown). She fixed up the farm and filled it with pigs, chickens, and ducks. Marie had a trailer in the backyard that she used as an office. She invited her mother and stepfather to move in with her. This home was partially destroyed in a fire in September 1947. |

| Marie with her son Harrison at their Encino home in 1950 * From 1948 until 1952 Marie lived at 5031 Encino Avenue in Encino. She bought the two acre property with her third husband Harry Karl. The house had been built by actor William Bendix. There was a kidney-shaped pool, a tennis court, a guest house, and two 500-year-old oak trees in the front yard. Marie spent several years renovating this home. |

| Marie at her Sunset Boulevard home in 1954 * From 1952 until 1954 Marie lived at 9401 Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Her husband Harry bought the English Tudor Style mansion for her. They spent $5,000 a month for servants to run the five acre estate. Marie said "the gloom of this big house that had more rooms than I could possibly count oppressed me". Singer Phil Collins lived here during the 1990's. |

Harry's manservant Jack Qualls lived with them. The police were called to the house four time because of Marie and Harry's loud fights. Their neighbors included Jane Withers and William Powell. |

Harry moved in when they got back together. This home had four bedrooms and five bathrooms. On January 4, 1957 Marie made headlines when she claimed two men broke into the house and kidnapped her. |

| Marie in 1963 * From 1963 until 1965 Marie lived at 5337 Jed Smith Road in Calabasas. Her sixth husband Donald F. Taylor also lived there. Tragically on October 21, 1965 Marie died in this house from an overdose of percodan. Donald found her slumped over a dressing table in their bedroom.
